The Puzzles
Chief Scientist Dr. Keith Devlin presents the mathematics implicit in each of the three core BrainQuake puzzles. The puzzles are mapped to the Standards of Mathematical Practice, the Common Core Standards, address multiple standards across multiple grade levels in each individual puzzle, and cover number sense, algebraic thinking, arithmetic, linear growth, functions, and proportional reasoning.
You can try sample Tanks puzzles here. Don’t let the lack of a tutorial stop you from exploring the puzzles! We do provide tutorials in our full offering, but we also know that students delight in experimenting and often don’t read the instructions, any way!
